In partnership with Abertay University and Dundee and Angus college we were able to bring together 110 students and put them through 2 days of training including sport specific coaching training. A huge thanks to Dundee Madsons, LACD Football and Dundee Hawkhill Harriers for supporting these days with workshops. Additionally, a huge thanks Scottish Disability Sport who provided funding and training for all young people to participate in disability inclusion training. This provided them with the knowledge, content and practical examples of ways to adapt and include all young people. The students were then able to put this into practice as they were placed in primary and secondary schools across the city, delivering sport and physical activity to the children in Dundee. We had 40 groups of students deliver over 200 sessions to over 1000 children meaning more children and young people were able to take part in sport and physical activity.

We have been able to strengthen our partnership with Dundee and Angus college providing opportunities for over 50 students to gain valuable vocational experience and training. The students have lead activity sessions in golf, multisport and ASN specific input. They have also taken part in training for FIA which has enabled them to provide coaching and officiating at all 5 Dundee events as well as the regional final held at RPC in the months to come.

Huge thanks to all our students we work with for your enthusiasm and commitment, ensuring the children in Dundee get as many opporutnities possible!
