Active Schools Kit for All: Making Sport Accessible to Everyone
Welcome to Active Schools Kit for All, an inspiring Active Schools initiative that ensures everyone has access to sports and physical activities, regardless of financial circumstances. By providing free, pre-loved sports kit to individuals and families, we’re removing barriers, promoting sustainability, and fostering a love for activity and play.
This initiative is run in partnership with Dundee Bairns, a local charity dedicated to supporting children and families in Dundee through projects that address poverty and promote well-being.
What is Kit for All?
Kit for All is a project designed to:
- Provide free sports clothing and equipment to those who need it most.
- Encourage recycling and reuse, reducing waste and helping the environment.
- Support local families by making sport and physical activity more accessible to everyone.
Whether it’s a pair of football boots, a tracksuit, or a jersey, your donation or involvement can make a significant impact on a child’s ability to participate in sports and stay active.
How It Works
- Donating Kit
We collect pre-loved sports kit from families, schools, and clubs. Items should be in good condition and include:- Sports tops, shorts, and leggings
- Hoodies and tracksuits
- Trainers, football boots, and other sports footwear
- General sports equipment
Collection Points
Dundee Schools act as donation collection points from the 6th December 2025 to the 31st January 2026. Families can simply drop off their unwanted kit during collection period.- Distribution
Once collected, the kits are sorted, cleaned, and distributed to individuals and families who need them. This ensures that no one is left out of sports activities due to a lack of appropriate gear.
Why It Matters
Breaking Down Barriers
Sports bring people together, teach valuable life skills, and promote physical and mental well-being. By ensuring access to appropriate gear, we can help more people participate and thrive in sports.
Sustainability in Action
Reusing pre-loved kit reduces waste and supports a circular economy, demonstrating to young people the importance of environmental responsibility.
Building Community Spirit
Kit for All brings schools, families, and communities together in a shared mission to support each other and create positive change.
